Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a long-term lease?

No, the rental agreement is month-to-month.

When is my rental fee due?

Your rent is due on the 1st of every month and late after the 5th of the month. If payment is not received by the end of the day on the 5th day of the month a late fee of $20 is assessed, and your unit will be overlocked by the manager.

Will I receive a monthly "bill"?

We do not send a monthly bill. We will send you a notice via email if you give us your email address. If you need to have an actual paper bill mailed to you we can accommodate that request for an additional charge.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards.

What may I store?

Flammable, explosive, or illicit materials are NOT allowed. Occupying the unit as living quarters is prohibited by law and is cause for immediate eviction. Storage of live animals is not allowed.

How tall / wide are your doors?

Door sizes vary by unit size and range from 3'8" to 12' wide. Our doors are roll-up doors that are easy to operate and coil up once opened. If you have specific door requirements, talk to our manager and he or she will find the best solution for your need and be able to provide specific door measurements.

Do I need to provide my own lock?

No, we offer locks for purchase for you to keep if you rent from us. Our locks are competitively priced vs. the local hardware stores so we make it an easy choice if you need a lock. Only one lock is allowed per door latch, and you must keep your unit locked at all times. We inspect all locks daily. When you move out you must remove your lock.

Does the facility assume any liability for the goods I store?

No, we offer & require tenant insurance (if you don't have insurance already) for you as an added security when you rent from us. It is very inexpensive and is a smart decision when storing your goods. Speak with the onsite manager for more details.

Are surveillance cameras monitored?

The cameras are recording video 24 hours a day but they are not constantly monitored. Management is not responsible for responding immediately to help if required.

May I allow friends or relatives to access my unit?

You may allow anyone you choose to have access by accompanying them on the premises or noting their name on your rental agreement. We request you do not give your access code to anyone not on your rental agreement.

Can I share access to space with my family and coworkers?

Yes, you decide who may have access to your storage unit. The facility manager should be aware of anyone who has access to your unit.

What if I or one of my guests damages my unit or another building or fixture on the property?

The tenant shall be liable for any damage to the unit or any building, fixture, or other structure on the premises caused by the tenant or his agents or guests. Tenant shall indemnify and hold Management harmless from any claim or cause of action arising out of Tenant's use of the premises or any part thereof.

Can I get a refund?

Although we will prorate your rent upon move in, it is a policy that our self-storage facility does not prorate rental payments for any partial months when you move out. Please let us know before the beginning of the next month of your intention to move so as to avoid being charged.

What are the office hours?

Office hours are from 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday, and 9am to 2pm on Saturday. Our office manager is available by appointment if those times do not work. We are closed on Sunday.

What are the gate hours?

Gate access is 7 days a week, 5 am to 11 pm. 24 hour access is available upon approval.

What happens if I lose the key to my storage unit?

You hold the only key to your storage unit. However, if you should misplace it, we have a locksmith you may contact. In addition, we have locks for sale so you can replace the lock and have a new set of keys.

What is "temperature-controlled" and do I need it?
